132 Visa – Business Talent (Permanent)

This direct PR pathway visa allows you to establish a new or develop an existing business in Australia. It has two streams:

  1. Significant Business History stream: for high-calibre business owners or part-owners who want to do business in Australia.
  2. Venture Capital Entrepreneur stream: for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL).

For applicants who cannot provide proof of the source of funds, they may consider applying for the “132B Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream”, without the investment and business experience required by other 188 visas.

Application Requirements • Aged 55 or below (*a state or territory can waive this requirement if your proposed business will be of exceptional economic benefit to the region.)
• Net business and personal assets of at least AUD1,500,000 that are legally acquired
• Turnover AUD3,000,000 for 2 out of 4 years before invitation to apply
• Business share ownership worth of at least AUD400,000 for 2 out of 4 years before invitation to apply		 • Senior management experience preferred. The innovative business needs to be related to personal background
• Secured at least AUD1,000,000 in funding for a high-value business idea from an Australian venture capital firm for the funding
• Genuine commitment to maintain a direct and continuous involvement and a substantial ownership interest
