Introduction

It is a temporary residence visa
Designed to attract applicants who can make a significant investment contribution to the Australia economy and fund major investment projects nationwide
Suitable for high asset, high income earners who invest at least $5 million in a specified area to gain fast track immigration

Application Requirements

Applicant has personal assets of at least A$5 million
Nomination by the State or Territory Government is required
Applicants must invest a minimum of A$5 million in the following projects and hold the relevant investment for at least 5 years.

At least 20% of the capital, i.e. not less than A$1M in Venture Capital and Development Private Equity (VCPE) funds;
At least 30% of the capital, i.e. not less than A$1.5M, in Emerging Businesses;
At least 50% of capital, i.e. not less than A$2.5M in balanced investments

The aim of this reform is to create more new opportunities to meet the demand for venture capital in Australia.
