The South Australian Minister for Education, the Hon John Garner MP, has just announced that the school contribution fee for dependents of Subclasses 457 and 482 visa holders*, are to be waived to encourage more foreign workers to settle or work in regional South Australia.
Waiving the school fee would be a great temptation and incentive for immigrants. The new arrangement not only beneficial to the immigrants but also wish to lead a great movement in the business activity growth and employment in their regions.
In terms of the amount of tuition in 2019, the children attending primary school can be reduced by $5,300, while that of secondary schools is as high as $6,400;The full list of schools that qualify for the fee exemption is available at education.sa.gov.au.
