Low Investment Program of British Columbia – BCPNP Regional Pilot
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot, was launched in mid-March and was piloted for 2 years. This program allows applicants to start or run a new business in smaller communities of British Columbia with a lower investment amount. The communities must be less than 75,000 people and located more than 30 km from a larger city. The enrolled communities include Cariboo, Kootenay, Mainland/Southwest, Nechako, North Coast, Northeast, Thompson-Okanagan, Vancouver Island/Coast.
The amount of investment (CAD100,000) and personal net worth (CAD 300,000) required for this Regional Pilot Program is half of the BCPNP. This program is suitable for the applicant who looking for immigrating to British Columbia but hasn’t sufficient net worth or wishes to invest less money to run a business.
After successfully running the business for at least 12 months, the applicant can submit a final report to BC PNP. When the BC PNP approves the final report, the applicant is eligible to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
