The Hungary Residency by Investment programme will be officially launched on 1 July 2024, and there are three ways to invest: Real Estate Fund, Housing and Donation.
For applicants who choose to buy a house, applications will be accepted from 1 January 2025 the earliest.

null Requirements for the Hungary Gold Visa

  • 18 years old or older
  • Sufficient financial security and medical insurance
  • Provide a certificate of no criminal record
  • Have an address of residence in Hungary
  • Submit a written commitment for the completion of investment within the three-month period upon entering Hungary.

null Investment Requirements

  • Investment in a real estate fund: Investment of at least €250,000 in a real estate fund registered with the Hungarian National Bank, with at least 40% of the fund’s assets invested in Hungarian residential property, and holding shares of the fund for at least 5 years.
  • Purchase of property: Investment of at least €500,000 in a residential property located in Hungary with clear title, no mortgage and registered in the Land Register. The property cannot be sold or mortgaged within 5 years from the date of signing the contract. The start date of the scheme is 1 January 2025
  • Donation: Donation of at least €1 million to a higher education institution maintained by a charitable trust foundation, which aims to support education, scientific research or artistically creative activities.
