Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison recently announced that the migration ceiling of skill and family streams will be reduced from 190,000 to 160,000 places in the next four years.
In addition, South Australia and Western Australia’s Goldfields region with the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder signed the five-years Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA). Under the DAMA program, South Australia can sponsor 750 people per year with 114 occupations, including agriculture, forestry, hospitality, tourism, health and construction. For the Kalgoorlie-Boulder, up to 500 people can be sponsored per year with a range of industries, including mining, engineering, construction, childcare and health for a total of 73 occupations.
As more and more regions have signed the DAMA agreement, professionals and skilled workers get an advantage of the new policy. Please contact us at 852-3568 1436, our immigration consultants will provide you with a FREE phone consultation service.
